Vocals & RhythM
TUESDAY NIGHT BAND

Vocals
Yeliz Christensen
We welcome Yeliz Christensen on vocals. She is a string specialist with Halifax Regional Arts, and has taught choir and elementary music. Along with her life-long love for all things music, she also enjoys her family, playing tennis, and travelling when not teaching.

Drums
Gerry Johnston
Gerry plays drums in the Band. Gerry is a founding member of the Tuesday Night Big Band and has been the drummer with the Band ever since. He also plays in groups ranging from concert bands to jazz ensembles. In the late 80s and the 90’s, he was the drummer for a popular Halifax-based blues band (the Floorboards) that received an East Coast Music Award in 1991. Jazz remains his favorite music and he shares this passion with his wife Judy who plays bass in the Tuesday Night Big Band.

Keyboard
Tristan Kelloway
We have been pleased to have Tristan join the band this year. A student at Nova Scotia Community College, he plans to attend St. Francis Xavier university in the fall, taking Jazz studies. His work on the Duke Ellington Sacred Concert was outstanding.

Guitar, Co-Director, Arranger
Bob Bauer
Bob Bauer plays guitar with the band and although not one of the original members, he has been with the group for many years. Bob has arranged several pieces for the group. In his other life, he was a CBC Radio music producer for 30 years before retiring. For more info, check out his website: http://bauermusic.wixsite.com/website

Bass
Alex Cochrane
We are happy to welcome Alex Cochrane to the Tuesday Night Band, playing along with his dad, Derek Cochrane, tenor sax.

Vocals, Keys, Sax sub
Krisanne CrowelL
Newly retired from the Stadacona Band, Krisanne Crowell is a fabulous all-round musician, highly skilled on vocals, saxophone, and keys. She plays in many groups around Halifax, including The TriTones and Solarocity. The Band is very pleased to have her as our most regular Sub.
